You can visit the dueling arena in Maids Morten to the south of the Bank, and there you can see the scoreboard with total wins and losses, and admire who is the #1 warrior in the server.

To duel another player, do /duel {player name}. It will send a request which they can then accept or deny.
The winner of a duel gets 100 gold coins, the loser gets nothing.
No, duels use a completely separate inventory than your own by giving you the option to choose one of the many custom kits. Each player in a duel uses the same kit to make it a fair fight.
