While using a hoe you can harvest multiple crops in a sweeping motion by left clicking a fully grown crop, and by putting the seeds in your off-hand you can right click with the hoe to replant a wide area. Farming also gives you valuable XP!
There are also custom features for hoe enchants. The higher the efficiency level on the hoe, the wider range of harvesting and replanting you have. Fortune increases your seed yield, and extra seeds can be turned to bonemeal using a composter to speed up the next harvest or to grow trees and mushrooms. Bones can also be turned to bonemeal in your inventory crafting.
Trees and saplings have also been changed. Vanilla saplings (now bushes) will no longer grow. To grow trees, visit the Farmer and buy custom saplings and bonemeal them to grow faster. These saplings allow you to grow one of the 30+ hand-made custom trees seen around the forests of Vermance. It is a great way to farm timber while keeping your surrounding area looking nice.
The Farmer also sells seeds for custom crops. To grow the custom crops, do /ia to see how to craft the garden beds and watering can you will need. You can check on the amount of water in a garden bed with a stick - don’t let it go dry or else your crops will wither.
