Medieval Unlimited was first founded by my brother and I in late 2010. Originally a Hamachi server, it developed into a public hardcore factions server under the name of FrZ Craft. The original URL for this can be seen here on the original Planet Minecraft server listing.

Shortly after launching, I decided to overhaul the theme of our server into medieval factions. At this point it was named Medieval Craft, but my 10 year old self somehow recognized how many servers were called “something Craft”, and thus Medieval Unlimited was born.

I will always remember the endless wars with TheChaz_, neighbour to my faction Eldaria. The worldedit mishaps causing the entire map to corrupt (MORE THAN ONCE), and all the other adventures. Great times on Medieval Craft!
Medieval Unlimited originally used default minecraft terrain, but shortly after the original Planet Minecraft post, I started to experiment with custom terrain. Above is the first custom map I ever made for Medieval Unlimited in late 2011. It went through various stages of development, this being it’s last stage.

The 2012 to 2014 era of Medieval Unlimited - arguably the peak for those that remember it (Like BarliiI seen above). This stage of the server is what we have been trying re-create ever since. Light roleplay, kingdoms and castles, frequent war, and a healthy community.
If you look closely at the second photo, you can see my very first attempt at making textures - Optifine CTM textures for whitewashed cobblestone. In the last two photos you can see our first custom weapons and armor. I can’t recall if I made the weapons, but I made the helmet.

I made the map in World machine. It took about a week to complete. It is HIGHLY detailed. One thing i hate is the mountains. You'll need very nice buildings that look similar to mine. Atleast one city with a castle, keep, farm, tannery, mill, mine, blacksmith and atleast 10 houses from small to big. I will decide the pricing on your houses though. Also, you'll need to make up a name that is unque and fits in with the time period. Like Terrowin or Fendrel. We don't want names that where used in actual history like Warwick or Nottingham. Although, the ranking system in each city is based off ones in real life. Talk to me, Clunk for more info on that. Also, any faction that has to do with Templars will be disband and destroyed. The Kingdom of Terrowin is the faction that has the Knight's Templar and no. We arn't the corrupt Templars like you see in the Assassin's Creed games and in history. The Templars in this time period fought for whats right. The freedom of the people.
