Religions are an important part of Medieval Unlimited.
Religions allow you to devote yourself to one of three Gods, each catered to different playstyles. Once devoted, your God will grant you a 'Favor Level'. If your Favor Level is high, God will randomly bless you with special effects and preform rare miracles like repairing all your gear, giving you steel, or more. If your Favour Level is low, God will simply curse you.
Favor can be gained by preforming rituals like offering items, slaughtering animals, or partaking in pilgrimages from the corresponding shrines found in the wild of Vermance.
To see available religions, do /gods list
. You can read more information about each religion by doing /gods info (religion)
.
Once you've chosen your favorite religion, do /gods select (religion) to join it. If you ever want to desert your faith, do /gods abandon (religion), but beware, abandoning a God will reset your Favor Level to 0 with them,
God knows - you'll have to find them yourself! Try checking in the south western, middle, and north eastern sections of Vermance.
Each god prefers different items, and to see those items, check the Achievements Tab in the pause menu and head to 'Faithful Dedication'. There you can see the Achievements progress for each religion, and what each god favors in offerings.
Once you have the correct items, find the Lodestone block located in the correct shrine for your religion. Right click the block with the offered item, and wait. If nothing happens, it is either the wrong shrine or the wrong item!
To see what rituals your God prefers do /gods info (religion)
. Note the ritual for information on the ritual.
After reviewing the rituals, right click the shrine's Lodestone with the Key Item, and the ritual will begin!
Favor level is what determines whether you are blessed, cursed, or have miracles performed upon you. Favor will slowly lower overtime unless you maintain a healthy relationship with your God.
+2500 Favor will grant you randomized blessing which apply special effects depending on your chosen religion.
+4000 Favor will grant you randomized miracles which can grant you items, repair all your items, or more.
-50 Favor will bestow the worst causes imaginable upon you depending on your chosen religion.
